We are moving the Welch race to Whitetail Ridge in River Falls, WI due to logistical challenges when utilizing a new venue. We are continuing to work with Welch Village in hopes of hosting a race in the future.

The decision to move a race location is only done, if absolutely necessary. The time, effort and planning to even schedule a race onto our calendar involves years of planning. In addition, we know a change will affect team and family schedules.

Whitetail Ridge at River Falls is a racer-favorite course and your riders will not be disappointed, with the colors and the awesome trail – Race #5 at River Falls will equal a great day of racing.

Join the "tribe" of the race day crew and get a cool new tee from Wolftooth!

Why volunteer?

Because without volunteers, we cannot hold the race. For each race, we need about 130-160 people to run a race.

As part of the Race Day Crew, help out with scoring, hand out water, course marshal on the race course, be a crossing guard or choose the popular "sweep" position. All of these positions are important!

Meet other parents, members of the Core Staff, and have fun at the same time. Plus, get the new Volunteer tee from Wolftooth Components! Each volunteer will receive one tee for helping out.

If your son or daughter is racing, volunteer to help when your child is not racing. Be a part of the excitement and still be able to watch your son or daughter race!

Tip: As a course marshal or a crossing guard, you are able to get right on the race course where there is exceptional viewing of the course!

Learn about the needed race day volunteer positions and how to register on our online registration site called Sign Up.

Latest Viral Video: Watch Ishaq Naddir at Lake Rebecca rock the FRAMED BIKE Skills course

Sponsored by Framed Bikes

In between races, stop by and check out the Framed Bikes Skills Challenge Course and test your bike handling skills!

New this year, we are giving out hardware and swag to the top 5 male and female participants. Medals and Swag are made possibly by contributions from Framed Bikes and Wolftooth. Thank you!

Skills Challenge Course will be open each Sunday on a race weekend. The course will open Sunday at 9am and close when the last race lines up for the day. (Around 3pm). Medals and prizes will be handed out with race day awards.

Take the challenge, because there is more to racing than just speed.

This skills course is built to challenge a rider’s stability and handling on the bike. It offers tight corners and log hops, as examples - two skills that are commonly used on the trail while riding and racing. New and experienced riders can take the challenge and test their bike handling skills.

Other riding skills put to the test include: balance, tight turns, breaks control, ratcheting, range of motion on the bike, wheel lifts, focus and concentration.

Remember, more highly-skilled riders are safer riders.

We have set up these rules to keep our racers and spectators safe. Just as at a football or baseball game, walking onto the course is not allowed. IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!

The course is taped off in many areas. But in non-taped areas, the course officially does include the single track plus 3 feet on both sides.

You can cross the course where there is an opening in the tape and when permission is given by the volunteer crossing marshal. Going under the tape is not allowed at any time on Saturday or Sunday!

Do not walk, run or ride on course. Follow side paths or off course trails to gain access to viewing areas. Some remote areas of the course simply may not be accessible to spectators.

When in remote areas, cross the course only prior to and upon completion of each race. It’s a silent sport and often racers and spectators lose track of each other in the heat of the race. We have had several close calls.

In the event of challenging weather, review our Weather Policy and Guidelines.

Our primary consideration is the safety of racers, race support staff, race visitors, and potential damage to the race course site.

Any decisions regarding cancellation or altering race start times, lap lengths, or number of laps, etc. will be made jointly by the MN League Director, the Land Manager, and the MN League Chief Referee. Often, this decision cannot be made until the morning of the race due to the unpredictable nature of wet or stormy weather.

The MN League will make every attempt to notify people via two of our race communication channels: Rained Out text app, PA Announcements at the race and on Facebook and Twitter.

Review the MN League weather policy and guidelines.

Spend your hard earned bike money with them!
