Practice Reunification Protocol

It’s important to have protocols and a reunification process in place for your staff and students this season.

Staff and students should check in when they:

✓ Arrive at Practice
✓ Head Out on Course
✓ Finish Practice
✓ Leave the Practice

If a student leaves before a practice has concluded they should notify you, a member of your coaching staff, or your designated volunteer.

Having a good plan in place will help in the case of an evacuation from the practice venue or course. If there is an evacuation, your check-in check-out list will be crucial in confirming that all students have made it off the practice course, back to the venue, and are accounted for. Check-in check-out sheets can be set up by race category, practice group, or gender.

Be sure that parents do not leave with their son or daughter without them notifying you, a member of your coaching staff, or your designated volunteer.

An example of a simple check-in sheet and procedure are HERE.

Coach & Rider Representative for Race Weekend Course Inspection

This season, the Colorado League staff will begin partnering with teams to review course safety and layout. Two coaches and riders from the north and south conference will inspect the race course.

Each assigned team will select one coach and one rider to be a part of the race course inspection team. During pre-ride these coaches and riders will review course marking, route, and venue layout. They will then report their feedback to Colorado League staff.
