Perfect Weather for Great Fall Fishing!

The derby was a prime example of how fall is a great time for fishing!! The walleye are still biting and we have noticed that they are not just coming out in the mornings and evenings but we have had great luck at all times of the day. With the forecast calling for sunny and high 20's this weekend, you still have time for a great fishing trip this fall. Narrows West: Marina and Seasonal Camping Wrapping up of the Season

Narrows West Marina
Being the maiden year of the new floating dock system, we were very happy with how it turned out. This winter we will continue to work on the gate to get it repaired and installed for next season. We went for a walk through of the docks and it was wonderful to see how many boats are still in the water and using this amazing community amenity. That being said because it is a floating dock and must be removed each fall we have to remind people to begin thinking about removing the additional boat ties, bumpers and any other extras that were added to the dock this year and they must come off prior to the removal of the dock. The docks will be removed Tuesday, October 13th (first day after Thanksgiving). They will be checked thoroughly to see if there are any repairs or changes that need to be made and then will be stacked for the winter. To make sure that any personal items that have been added are not damaged during the removal of the dock, we ask you to please take these items off and have your boat removed from the dock by October 13th. Also for those that came later in the season, please make sure that you have a signed copy of the marina contract on file to lock you into the introductory dock rate of $500 for the next two years. If you need a copy of the dock contract or would like to make sure we have one file contact Revy at 204-768-2749 or by email at

Narrows West Seasonal Camping

Due to the great weather, we are optimistic that we may be able to extend our seasonal camping season this year past the Thanksgiving weekend that is our traditional end of season date. Through email, the newsletters and posters in the store we will keep you informed about the exact date when the water and hydro will be shut off at the seasonal sites. To those campers that still have outstanding bills, letters will be sent out next week with account balance and payment details. For everyone interested in coming back next year I will also be sending out the 2016 Rental Agreement either by email or by mail. Please make sure that we have a copy of your valid camper registration on file in order to be eligible for this year's Early Bird Discount.
