For Hod shebe Malchus Malchus Part 5 - Rabanit Kineret Sarah Cohen

Our facilitator this week is Rabanit Kineret Sarah Cohen

Rebbetzin Kineret Sarah Cohen was born in Eretz Yisrael and comes from Sefardik descent (Moroccan). She grew up in New York in the Ashkenazic circles and developed a deep rooted connection to the teachings of Chasidut and Musar. Because of this diverse upbringing, she is able to connect, teach and understand women who come from any background or religious affiliation. Rebbetzin Kineret Sarah Cohen is most famously known in the Jewish music world as the number one orthodox female Jewish performer. She uses her “voice” to create joy in a woman’s heart through her singing and utilizes her power of speech to lecture and spread Torah to all women around the world instilling in the hearts of Jewish women a love for Torah and Hashem. The Rebbetzin heads a non-profit Torah center for women and girls in Brooklyn, New York (Ohel Sara) and is one of the top lecturers on Torah Anytime. She has received many berachot from renowned Rabbis, among them, Rabbi David Abuchatzera (shlit”a), Rabbi David Chananyah Pinto (shlit”a), Rav Ovadyah Yosef (a”h), Rav Moshe Ben-Moshe (shlit”a) and Rav Moshe Chai Siman Tov (a”h). They have all encouraged her to proceed forward in this mission of ruchaniyut and have blessed her journey. To find out more, please visit www.ohelsara.com

Yesterday we spoke about how to use Shavuos Day.

If you have more time, there is another special personal session (seder) you want to have with yourself.

Take some time and think deeply about what your life is about. Why do you think are here on earth. Be conscious about the deeper aspects of what your life is all about.

Go deep and get in touch with your inner essence on this day. Find the pieces of Torah or mussar that speak about these concepts. Try to choose a relationship with G-d in a very deep way.

You want to do what you were created to do here on earth.

There are 3 potential times to do this seder:
1. Right after the evening meal.
2. Sunrise (that is when the receiving of the Torah-the Kabalas HaTorah took place.)
3. After the lunch meal

Schedule these time now so you can plan out your day.

Make the day of Shavuos primal and powerful!

Excerpt from Sparks from Berditchov - an Inspirational Guide to Avodas Hashem by Yaakov Klein

The Impact Factor: R 'Levi Yitzchak teaches that the principle dwelling of the Divine Presence is upon he who busies himself with helping others grow in their avodas Hashem. Every single Jew has an aspect of "malchus" within, an inherent ability to make a real impact on others. Even when we feel like we are not fit for this holy service, we mustn't ever be deterred. By working to help our friends even when it is we who badly need the help, we can merit drawing both our friend and ourselves into the loving embrace of our father in Heaven....*

The secret of personal redemption and the redemption of our entire people (Nesivos Sholom part 1 article 2):

“…Our Sages alluded to this when they said: “in the merit of Emuna(trust) our forefathers were redeemed (from Egypt) and in the merit of Emuna they will be redeemed in the future”…with the Emuna in G-d and with the trust that they are the chosen nation, “my first born Israel” … that no matter where a person is holding spiritually or how undeserving they might be, even after they transgressed, they are exceedingly beloved to G-d. …The trust that G-d is directing their journey only with infinite wisdom, mercy and compassion and that G-d views each person as beloved, possessing infinite worth by virtue of being His exalted & precious child, awakens more compassionate guidance from above…this kind of trust can actually draw forth a salvation that we don’t deserve…this is the secret of redemption of each individual and of our entire nation”

Duties of the Heart, the Gate of Trust/ Chovos Halevavos, Shaar Habitachon:

A person who knows the following deeply will have true trust in G-d (Hashem), which means that they can be calm and peaceful when G-d’s good is revealed as well as when it is hidden, both in mind and body. They will give themselves over to G-d, embrace His decrees and judge favorably all of G-d’s judgements and actions.

1) G-d has infinite compassion and anendless, personal lovefor you.

2) G-d wants you to succeed {in fulfilling your unique mission in life- Alei Shor ch.12} and does not pause frompersonally overseeing your journeyfor even a second.

3) G-d hasinfinite powerand nothing can prevent Him from continually bestowing His ultimate good and getting you where you really need to go, not even your own mistakes (howeveryourchoices can impact how the journey willfeel)

4) G-d guides your journey withinfinite wisdomand precision and knows what’s absolutely best for you given your mission and choices.

5) G-dhas and will always be with youtill the end. He is continuously infusing life force into you, and has blessed you with enormous gifts up to this point. He hasn’t given up on you through your life’s ups and downs

7) G-d treats you whether you are deserving or not with constant andinfinite generosityand chesed (loving kindness) that will never end.

A practical verbal introspection to help us focus when working on the midda of the day

Thank you Hashem for my life that is my unique opportunity to direct the life force within me that might naturally further conceal You.. Please help me purify my heart and feel Your love and bring Your Kingship into this moment. I want to purify my heart with the feeling of Your love and kingship so that I sincerely have heartfelt emotions only to fulfill the Torah, emulate You and reveal Your love and kingship through my speech and deeds.

May these deep emotions be honestly reflected in my speech and deeds so that Torah and the force of Your Lovingkindess are seen and felt in the world. May it be a merit for Klal Yisrael and an acceptable teshuva that fixes what needs to be fixed and that generates eternal life and makes a kiddush Hashem.
