Spring is here! A great winter of snow brings hero dirt and excellent riding conditions. Time to put the skis away and lube your chains!

The warmer months offer numerous opportunities for enjoying all that the Rockies have to offer. From Durango to Winter Park, the event calendar is full.

Rule 1 Fun

Camps for all types of riders are happening throughout the region. Fort Lewis College and Curt Gowdy camps are a few of the many opportunities to up your game for the race season. Explore trails, make new friends and share the single track stoke. Check out a list of summer programs and camps HERE.

The Colorado League staff is working on summer Level 2 Coach Clinics to offer coaches several opportunities to get dialed in for the season.

2018 Durango State Championship Wins Elevation Outdoors Best of the Rockies

For the 2nd year in a row, votes for the “Best Mountain Bike Race” in Elevation Outdoor Magazine’s Best of the Rockies put the Colorado League’s State Championship Race on the top step. This is a direct result of the community of first-rate coaches, outstanding volunteers, local partners, and loyal sponsors.

The State Championship Race was in the company of many well-established and very successful events.

Annual Spring Coach Summit Eagle May 3-5

The Annual Spring Coach Summit is a fantastic opportunity to learn from your peers, ride bikes, and kick-off the season. It is akin to a Scout Jamboree with a group of enthusiastic, gifted youth workers who use mountain bikes as their platform. It kick-offs Friday afternoon, May 3rd in Eagle, Colorado.

Classes will cover the nuts and bolts of working with high school student-athletes in the context of a high school mountain bike club and provide the basic knowledge and guidance for coaches.

A limited number of scholarships are available thanks to Yeti Cycles and Team Evergreen. Apply by April 22nd HERE.

CPR, WFA Recertifications, On-the-Bike Trainings (formerly MTB 101) will be available.
There are MANY options to participate:

The Bailey HUNDO/HUNDito June 15th – Registration Open!

Join us Father's Day weekend for the 10th Annual Bailey HUNDO. This is an epic race with an epic cause. In 2018, the HUNDO distributed over $70,000 to nonprofit partners and community organizations in the Bailey area including the Colorado League, Trips for Kids Denver Metro, and the Colorado Mountain Biking Association. Various trail building projects near the Bailey area received $15,000. Huge props to all the FUND-racers who participate. Together FUND-racers contributed to the donated over $470,000.00 donated since 2010.

Scholarship Opportunities - Alpine Bank College and More

Alpine Bank believes all high school students should have the opportunity to pursue higher education.

This year Alpine Bank is offering 2 - $500 college scholarships to those high school students who will attend college in Colorado and will participate in a collegiate cycling program.

Scholarship applications are due by June 1, 2019. Apply HERE. Funds will be distributed upon proof of enrollment and participation in the college's cycling program.

Due to an increase in the number of teams and riders, a few teams will be moving from the South Conference into the North Conference for the 2019 season.

South teams moving from the South to the North include:
• Littleton
• Heritage
• Dakota Ridge
• Denver Academy
