Resurrection of Our Lord

Worship Online at the LELC YouTube Channel. Click here.

Worship will be posted by Sunday morning
You will find worship on: YouTube,, and on our Facebook Page.

For the health and safety of our community of faith, the church council has made the decision to offer online worship temporarily instead of gathering physically on Sunday mornings in the church building. At this time, worship will be offered online March 29 and April 5. The council will continue to monitor the situation and re-evaluate as is prudent.

The Gospel for this Sunday:

Matthew 28:1-10

Christ is Risen!

This is the day the Lord has made! Christ is risen, and through him all creation is made new! Indeed, “God shows no partiality” (Acts 10:34): Christ’s resurrection truly brings life to everyone. We sing hymns of praise, gather around sacred words, and proclaim God’s faithfulness, power, and love in the feast of holy communion. With the women at the tomb, we are astonished, elated, and grateful. We depart with joy to proclaim the good news of God’s endless love.

Ministry Evaluation Task Force Update

MET would like to thank you for being part of the process of examining ourselves, of who we are and our needs for the future. We have received your honest ideas, suggestions, thoughts and beliefs. We have found your words full of faith and love. You have given us inspiration and have shown us who we continue to be.

The planned Congregational Conversation on March 22 was not possible due to the cancellation of in-person worship and events. In the week after Easter, we will be mailing out the findings we had planned to share at that time.

In the meantime, MET continues to meet by video and phone conference and move forward with our work. Please know that you can still contact the MET through email at The Council is also meeting regularly and is currently working to identify a Call Committee.

As we journey through this Lent - like no other - let us remember, it is all about faith, hope, intention, energy, and love. "I can do everything through God who gives me strength." Phillippians 4:13

What Are You Doing to Cope During Safer-At-Home?

idea-1020124 1920

Some folks have been sharing their ways of coping during this time of social distancing. Shirley Everson shares what she is doing this week. What are you doing to cope?

I now have the time to go thru my "boxes" of pictures - separating, sorting, throwing, etc. I have an album for each of my grandchildren (7) - I started this at their birth adding pictures they grow older. I also have a separate album for their parents (3) and so I have been updating these. I work about 4 hours a day on each one and have one left! Then I can start on my "vacation albums" - some I don't remember much at all and didn't label them at the time. :-( - So of course my kids are not going to be interested in those but am trying to label some of them . I also have some old year books from my high school days. I was going to throw them away but changed my mind. Some maybe interested in some of the comments written to me by friends - lol! It has been a joy going thru them and remembering happier days.
