On-line race registration closes this Thursday at midnight

Please double check to make sure your child is registered on-line for this weekend's race if they plan on racing. Simply go back into your pitzone login and register him/her for the race at $40. If you wait until the weekend, there will be a $15 late fee added to the $40 race fee.

If your child is planning to pre-ride only, and not race, they are all set to go. They can just display their race plate on their bike for the pre-ride. There is no cost for that this season!

If your child does decide to race after doing the preride, they will need to stop by the registration booth and pay for the race and late fee.

Important Rules from NICA Rulebook regarding final race

RULE 8.1. OVERALL INDIVIDUAL SERIES SCORING Overall Series scoring for individuals is based on the best 4 of 5 in a five-race series or the best 3 of 4 in a four-race series. In other words, the lowest score is dropped. A missed race would be the lowest score dropped. In the case of a race cancellation in a five-race series, the lowest score is still dropped (best 3 of 4). If there are fewer than four races in the series, no score will be dropped.

RULE 8.4. POINT BONUS FOR COMPLETING ALL RACES All student-athletes who complete each and every race in a season shall be awarded an additional 25 Season Bonus Points. If a race is cancelled, it will not count as a season race and Season Bonus Points shall still be awarded if all other season races are completed. In the event a student does not complete a race due to a mechanical, crash, illness, or other similar circumstances out of his or her control, that is considered an incomplete and no Season Bonus Points will be awarded.

Start Order for State Championship

Middle School Racers - Start order will be based on previous race results, in other words, from Race #4. Those students-athletes that are signed up for Race #5 and did not participate in Race #4 will be simply placed in the back.

High School Racers - From here on out, start order will be based on overall results.

Start Order will be emailed to Team Directors and posted on our website here by Friday afternoon. It will also be posted at the race venue by 11:00 on Saturday morning.

Bike Traffic in Venue

Due to the amount of spectators we are expecting, we are requesting that students, coaches, and parents leave their bikes in the pitzone unless they are racing, riding the pump track, or on the skills course which will be adjacent to the pump track.

Thanks for understanding!

Raffle Program Update

Who is ready to win a 9.8 Trek Mountain Bike? Or a gift card, or a stay at the Mansion Hill Inn in Madison? or a Saris M2 bike rack? or entries to the Fat Bike Birkie?? We have so many awesome prizes to give away at the raffle drawing this Sunday right before the awards ceremony.

Remember: You must turn in any ticket stubs, sales, and unsold tickets to Amanda Schulze at the registration desk by noon Sunday.

We have two big winners to congratulate for outstanding ticket sales!
Team Winner: A big congratulations to Sturgeon Bay Trail Warrior Composite for selling the most tickets as a team of 5.
Individual Winner: An incredible effort by one student-athlete: Sean Elliot, a Freshmen from Deforest High School, blew away the competition by selling a whopping 262 tickets over the course of the season. His team came in 2nd place in the team standings with over 800 tickets sold!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this another successful year in raising funds to support teams and the Wisconsin League. As a league we were able to fund over 23K scholarships for student-athletes throughout the state. Teams have been able to use raffle sales for everything from new pit-zone tents to spare bikes for riders. Thank you to all who supported youth mountain biking by purchasing a ticket this year - good luck at the drawing this Sunday!

We will be announcing all graduating seniors at awards ceremony

Please encourage your athletes to stick around for the entire awards ceremony!
