In case you haven't heard, there will be a public meeting at Ojai's City Hall to discuss the legalization of tiny homes (date changed to March 16th). You can read more HERE and HERE.
The local paper Ojai Valley News had an article about the upcoming meeting with the Planning Commission, as well as the story about my Tiny House. Read the article HERE.
The biggest motivation for me is hearing from so many people who can't find affordable places to live. Even for a small [undesirable] rental, the cost is about $1500/month in Ojai, so people are forced to move. Many of them are artists and an integral part of the community. It's unfortunate we are losing that which makes Ojai so special.
If you want to make changes towards affordable housing, we strongly encourage you to attend. This is a rare opportunity to influence public policy and make a difference.
