"It was a great networking opportunity for those of us with a passion for building a smaller future." - John Grillo, workshop participant
Vina's Tiny House has never been just about the house, but a much bigger vision about community and connection. My dream has always been to build a community around tiny houses.
On Friday November 13th, a group of tiny house advocates gathered for a discussion on forming tiny house communities, led by Lee Pera of Boneyard Studios and Lina Menard of Niche Consulting. It was a sold-out event with participants who inspired us all, including two of Ojai's Planning Commissioners. They are reviewing zoning with the hopes that tiny houses can become a part of the affordable housing strategy.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated... Together we can inspire change!
Help Us Legalize Tiny Houses in Ojai, CA
The City of Ojai has been addressing affordable housing and it's at a critical stage. We can impact public policy to include tiny houses (and second dwelling units or granny flats) as a viable option, but we need to make our voices heard.
If you want to legalize tiny houses in Ojai and Ventura County, I urge you to take action. Please attend the next meeting at Ojai's City Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd or Dec. 16th (date to be confirmed). Affordable housing will be on the agenda with Planning Commission. You can verify the date on City's website or contact me for details. Don't forget to pick up a speaker card to comment at the meeting!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
