I know this is a difficult time right now. I'm right there with you. I want to take a moment to check in, and give a virtual hug.

Like many of you, I'm navigating the uncertainty of my economic situation (especially as a small business owner), and the health and well-being of my loved ones and my community. During this time of self-isolation, it's hard to feel connected, especially working alone in my tiny office and living on my own in my tiny house.

I hope you, , will take advantage of the precious gift of time that has been given to you. Slow down. Take care of yourself and your family. Enjoy this time in the beauty of nature (keeping 6' apart).

STAY AT HOME - But what if you have no home?
My heart goes out to those who have no home to go to. Those who are living in their cars. Those who live paycheck to paycheck. Those who have no health insurance. Those who have been laid off.

This pandemic is highlighting the seriousness of our housing crisis. More than ever, I'm motivated to find a solution. Deep in my heart, my vision of a tiny home community is ever-present.

SOL HAUS DESIGN remains open for service
I am continuing to work diligently on residential projects for my existing clients. Currently I'm processing several building permits at the City and County of Ventura. Because of government closures, permits have been slightly delayed. Otherwise, all work will continue as expected.

Let's look at these challenges as opportunities. We each get a chance and a choice on how we perceive the world around us. We can be a victim of circumstances and simply react to all that we are exposed to on a daily basis, or we can choose to view what we see as lessons and opportunities... Opportunities to heal in new ways we never tried or thought possible.

May we all find balance and peace and meet each other without fear. This too, shall pass.

Just before the news of the pandemic, I was hit hard with other unfortunate news. For the past few years, my Tiny Home and Tiny Office have been perched on a lovely property in Ojai. Sadly, the owner has decided to sell the property. Like many residents, she couldn't keep up with skyrocketing housing prices and wanted more freedom from the rat race. So I will be moving my tinies from my little town of Ojai, up to northern California.

Manifesting a Tiny House Community near Yosemite
Trying to see this as an opportunity to make lemonade, I've decided to (finally) manifest my vision of a tiny house community on my property near Yosemite. My tiny house and tiny office will soon be going to Oakhurst so they will never have to move again! Read more about my vision HERE.

I want to take a moment to offer a big THANK YOU. This year is a 10 year anniversary for Sol Haus Design. I had planned a gathering to celebrate but decided to postpone for obvious reasons.
