Hopefully, you received a letter from Principal Mest this week. Unfortunately, our school faces continued funding challenges. Funding from CPS does not support all the work done at Northside. With your help, Friends of Northside has been able to pay for:

The funding NCP receives from CPS does not cover these important items. Friends of Northside continues to need your support more than ever to allow our school to continue offering these essential programs and services to your student.

All NCP Communications Now Being Sent Via CNXT

NCP is now using SchoolCNXT to communicate important information to parents and the school community. All families should have received a text message and/or email communication about signing up.

If you did not receive that communication or need access to your student's account, you can gain access by using this tool on Northside's website.

AP Exam and Payment Information

AP Exams will take place the weeks of May 3-7 and May 10-14. AP Exam fee payments will be due by Friday, December 4, at 3:00pm.

There is currently a technical issue with the collection of AP Exam fees, which are completely separate from your school fees. The counseling department asks for your patience as they continue to work through the problem. If you have any further questions regarding payment, please contact Mr. Hughes at Achughes2@cps.edu.

NCP Counseling Updates

Northside Prep Counseling Department is offering daytime and evening financial aid workshops. Please note, the workshops are only recommended for the class of 2021 students and parents. The financial aid workshops will offer NCP families an opportunity to receive support with completing the FAFSA, RISE application for undocumented and transgender students, and the College Scholarship Service Profile (CSS Profile). College Representative Visits

The NCP Counseling Department is offering virtual postsecondary visits for Northside Prep students and parents. We are offering virtual postsecondary visits to ensure all families have the opportunity to explore various postsecondary pathways, engage with the postsecondary representatives, and obtain answers to pertinent questions or concerns. Virtual postsecondary visits are offered after school from 3:15-4:00 pm, and during Flex Blocks 1-4 on Wednesdays.

To date, college, military, and GAP Year representatives are scheduled to connect with NCP students virtually and the list is growing every day.
