Greetings from Denmark

Last week I was telling you about Jakarta and some trouble with immigration. You can read it here. This week I have been in Copenhagen working on the possibility of a national franchise for AW in that country.
It was my first trip to Denmark and most surprising, not least because the first road signs I have seen in formed me that there was no Farting.

It started as trip to China where the owner (the father) discovered a love for gardens crafted out of huge boulders, water features inhabited by exotic carp. Over the space of thirty years he single handedly designed and built from a domestic garden to the farm next door, then taking over fields across the road and built a huge lake - the whole plot is like a city park. His garden shed is a full sized warehouse and coach loads of people come on daytrips to explore the caves, waterway stepping stones, waterfalls and exotic plants. It is a venue for weddings and corporate events even spinning off a catering company run by one of the daughters.Google images here.

And the guy above on the right created and maintains the whole project single handedly.
It reminds me of that film "Field of Dreams" - you will remember the quote - "If you build it they will come".

I was quite inspired. No! actually I was pretty damn flabbergasted and hugely inspired.. this guy has a passion for gardening that turned into an amazing business.
