I know the year technically started on January 1st. But, let's be honest we all need at least a week to resume our regularly scheduled lives before we can really go full throttle on our goals. I started this week an effective, organized, and productive machine. It feels awesome! I just hope I can keep it up.

Besides the blog goals, I shared with you last week I have some personal goals too. Over a year ago I decided it was time to lose a few pounds and get my eating straight. Like a lunatic, my husband and I joined a CrossFit gym. After a year of doing CrossFit, I lost weight, gained muscle, lost fat, and got stronger and healthier. It has now been 1 year and 5 months of doing CrossFit. But over the last few months, I got a little lax with my eating...cough,cough...holidays. Thankfully, I didn't do any real damage to my progress, I plateaued. This year the goal is to get my eating back on track and lose those last 20 lbs.

This week so far has been great. The secret for me is planning and prepping ahead. On Sundays I prep food for lunch and dinner, I even wrote a post about it, and plan what I will eat everything before I got to bed. I am going to bed on time, getting up early, eating breakfast, hitting my macros, and getting work done. My nemesis tends to be a change in my schedule. I am a creature of habit and the moment it gets disturbed I go off track. I declare that I will find a way to stay on track regardless of the obstacles life puts in the way.

I will be at a blogger retreat this early next week. There is to hoping I can stay on track and resist temptation. I just tell myself enjoy yourself, don't deprive yourself, and control yourself. Especially around chips and queso. ;D

Squad 2

You guys!

Did you know there is a place where we (that is right you and me) can chat about food, recipes, and cooking? It's my Facebook Group The Noshery Squad.

If you follow me on The Noshery Facebook Page you may be wondering how is it different from the group. First, because of FB's lovely algorithm (insert sarcastic tone) when I share a post or recipe update it doesn't necessarily mean you will see it. On an FB group, you are sure to see all published posts. Also, it's a place where we can share recipes, tips, ideas and just chat and have fun! It's not just me sharing what I think is delicious, it's about you sharing too.

Let's chat! Join The Noshery Squad!

WHEN YOU SHOULDN'T LAUGH BUT YOU DO

watching

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
This show is so fun! There are two seasons out right now so it's a great one to binge watch. It's set in 1958 New York and Midge Maisel's life is on track- husband, kids, and elegant Yom Kippur dinners in their Upper West Side apartment. But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she's good at - and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her.

Up and Vanished
I have been listening to a lot of podcasts lately. Since I work from home I like to have some sound playing in the background. For a long time, I would have the tv on but, it was becoming distracting. This is the year of productivity so I am switching to podcasts. If you love podcasts and true crime you need to check out Up and Vanished. The first season has completed so there are 70+ episodes. The cool thing about this podcast is the creator Payne Lindsey podcasts his investigation in real time. He is investigating the 11-year-old unsolved disappearance of Georgia beauty queen and high school teacher, Tara Grinstead. Payne Lindsey examins old case evidence, re-interviews persons of interest, and uncovers new leads. It's totally binge-worthy.
