Hey Friends! It's a new year! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your friends and family.

So, it's a new year and we all have grand plans for a new year. It may be to be more productive, spend time with family, eat better, workout, or read more. We all make promises to ourselves and then life starts to get in the way. Well, I got a wrench thrown in my new year of productivity plans. I don't know if you have noticed but it's been cold. And, in life's perfect timing the motor of our furnace pooped out. Needless to say the last few days have been spent in layers, under a blanket, and in front of a space heater. But I have some awesome plans for this year. Really I do. Ok, awesome maybe a hard sell. I have some pretty cool plans for this year.

Here are a few things I want to do on the blog this year.
* I want to do more "chefy" and cooking technique driven posts. For example how and why you would make a roux, or how to get a perfect sear.
* Do a weekly "behind the scenes" live video. So make if you don't follow me on Facebook or Instagram you should!
* Publish an ebook cookbook. I am thinking maybe a collection of all my most popular Puerto Rican recipes. get excited

Squad 2

You guys!

Did you know there is a place where we (that is right you and me) can chat about food, recipes, and cooking? It's my Facebook Group The Noshery Squad.

If you follow me on The Noshery Facebook Page you may be wondering how is it different from the group. First, because of FB's lovely algorithm (insert sarcastic tone) when I share a post or recipe update it doesn't necessarily mean you will see it. On an FB group, you are sure to see all published posts. Also, it's a place where we can share recipes, tips, ideas and just chat and have fun! It's not just me sharing what I think is delicious, it's about you sharing too.

Let's chat! Join The Noshery Squad!

stuff that cracks me up

A little cold weather humor for you today. Also, full disclosure I totally thought it was a little dude for a minute. LOL

watching

Bright
If you like fantasy, cop drama, rocking music, and stuff blowing up you should watch Bright. It's one of the latest Netflix original films out right now. I warn you there is a lot of colorful language but it's a fun watch. It kind of like Lord of the Rings meets Bad Boys. I know that sounds like a weird combination but to my surprise, it works. And rumor has it that there will be a Bright 2!

Dirty John
Ok, I'm not exactly watching Dirty John. I am listening to it because it's a podcast. If you like non-fiction/drama/crime you will totally dig Dirty John. It about a man and woman and their complex web of love, deception, forgiveness, denial, and ultimately, survival.

paleo bibimbap | cauliflower rice + ground pork bulgogi
Are you looking for something healthy but still satisfying and comforting? You must try this healthy twist on a bibimbap! In place of rice, I used cauliflower rice and topped it with savory pork bulgogi, sauteed vegetables, and a runny fried egg. I promise you are going to love it and it's totally customizable.

*Swiss Gear Weekender Backpack*

I travel a lot and I avoid checking a bag unless I absolutely have to. Recently I bought this Swiss Gear Weekender Backpack and I LOVE IT! It is perfect for the frequent traveler. I can pack 2 - 3 days worth of clothes plus all my tech. I just throw it on my back and I am ready to go.

Exploding Kittens

I don't get to play games very often but I found one that I am kinda loving. It's sort of like UNO but the goal is to not explode a kitten. I know it sounds weird but it's fun and family friendly. Consider getting the expansion pack Imploding Kittens it comes with extra cards and a cone of shame!

I feel like I need this sweat shirt in my life.
