One Year Anniversary for Vina's Tiny House!

P1060634

Nov. 2013: After one year of construction, we hitched Vina's Tiny House for its maiden voyage to The MOB Shop in downtown Ojai. Thanks to Kerry & John for the sunrise jaunt!

Hello ,

It's hard to believe that just one year ago my Tiny House was just completed! It took one year to finish construction, with a lot of blood sweat and tears. Looking back, the task seemed impossible but now the rewards are immeasurable!

After being featured at the Green Home Tour and Ojai Art Festival, we hitched the house to the truck and hauled from downtown Ojai to its current location in the woods.... What a crazy journey it has been!

CELEBRATE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Vina's Tiny House is turning ONE, so we're celebrating with a gift to you! Stay tuned for special offers coming soon!

I'm grateful for the opportunity to do what I love by helping others on their path. I often hear how other's perception of space is radically changed after taking a tour of my Tiny House, and I'm inspired by those who choose to live smaller and more simply. Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Cheers to living tiny!

Look familiar? It's a modified version of Vina's Tiny House with a dormer roof!

"Vina's plans have been amazing! I actually purchased other plans and started the build. But late one night, while doing some never-ending tiny house research, I stumbled upon Vina's Tiny House. When I saw the french doors and the skylights, I sat up in bed and said, "that's the house!" I quickly ordered the design plans. She was on vacation but still got me the design plans, the materials list and photo book - We were off to the races!! Throughout this process she has been so supportive - answering all my questions. I'm so happy I went with her plans. This has been a LIFE CHANGING experience."
- Jesse Carter Russell

During my recent trip to Canada, Jesse Russell contacted me to purchase my design plans. Luckily I was able to send the drawings from out of the country. What I didn't realize was Jesse's motivation and tenacity for this project.

Jesse is an Executive TV producer who wanted to take a short break from his career. He wanted to do something physical, with his own hands, and make it meaningful. When he stumbled upon the tiny house movement, he was quickly moved to build his own. Jesse returned to his hometown in Bend, OR and teamed up with his childhood friend Kit.

Within two short months, Jesse finished the framing (wow!) and have been unstoppable since. If you ever wondered how my house would like with a dormer roof, check out the photo above.
