Happy New Year !

The year is coming to a close... It's hard to believe I've lived in my teeny tiny for more than a year, since early December 2013.

The transition from living in a 400sf rental space to a 140sf tiny house has been surprisingly easy (read more HERE). In fact, it has been more than easy; it has been a joy ! I have never felt happier in a space than since I moved into my 'lil humble abode.

For all the things that TINY brings, the feeling of GRATITUDE is ever present.

Living a radically simplified life makes me deeply appreciate what I would otherwise take for granted:
* My Community: I'm more engaged with my relationships with others
* Our Natural Resources: Living off the grid, I'm more conscientious of the energy I use
* Nature: My home graciously opens to the outside, with a close connection to nature
* Home Ownership: Never did I dream I would own my own home, without a mortgage!
* Meaningful Work: My projects are more aligned with my values towards sustainability and efficiency

Everyday I'm reminded of the simple joys of life, that I live in a magical landscape of Ojai, that I have everything I need and love in my home, and that I'm making a difference. I'm reminded to be grateful for the offerings of the Earth, in which she asks nothing in return.

Above all, I'm grateful for the people in my life, those who have supported me along this crazy journey. I owe an ocean of gratitude to you ... Thank you.

May the New Year be filled with love and gratitude for all the simple joys in life and for the people who inspire you along the way. Cheers to 2015!
