On Feb. 20th the project team met at the jobsite in Santa Paula, California. Built as an ADU (accessory dwelling unit), the prefab will be placed on a permanent foundation behind the main house, overlooking the mountains.
Permit processing with the State of Calif (Housing & Community Development) will be submitted soon and construction in the factory will begin thereafter.

Construction and permit processing will be completed in three months! This timeline is unheard of in California, so I'm excited to see it through.
I couldn't be more grateful to have the best client. She has been eager to downsize from her "normal size" house to an efficient 260sf dwelling. She will be leaving her corporate job to retire and start her new life in her tiny home. Such an honor to help my client manifest her dream home.
Most of my life, I wanted to be useful, to find a way to create a positive impact in the world. My wish is this tiny idea can pave the way for beautiful, quality housing to be available to everyone.
FUN FACT: This property in Santa Paula is owned by the City Manager, and my client is a family member of the City Manager. The Prefab ADU allows my client to live with her extended family on the same property while providing privacy and independence.
In today's challenging times, keeping close family ties - while remaining independent - can be a huge benefit.
