Hi !

I shared this in my quilt classroom at Facebook and on Instagram. I was putting the binding on it.

This is my quilt for a challenge done by a group of friends. We all used strips of my fabric from Moda and this is a GREAT story behind that I'll be telling in December.

21 quilts will be in an exhibit at Road to California show in January.. it's very exciting!

I'm going to call in 'Wheel of Fortune' and do a pattern and a workshop with it. A way to use up strips, and now I want to make several more variations!

But that has to wait for about two months while I finish up a book and write the patterns for my next fabric line.

But...

I can't WAIT to take this technique and do the next version..my brain is whirling with ideas!

When I travel to teach sometimes a group gives me a little thank you gift, like one of their guild pins.

When I went to Stringtown Quilters they gave me a copy of their cookbook, and everyone signed it! What an extra special treat to open it up to find names next to the recipes and even 'Yum!' next to one!

The Shipping department is deciding which we'll try first, he seems to be narrowing in on the meatloaf...

"I've been looking for a way to re-purpose my empty Aurifil thread spools. I took the bottom off one and added to the top of the other, then rolled the binding on to the spool. I have an upright thread holder on my machine. Works like a charm. I'll never throw one of the empty spools out again.."

They also are great for holding ribbon and rick rack!
