Just because...
Hello.
As we head into August I've been working from home entirely, for five months - as many of yourselves have. What did I have to say earlier in lockdown...? You can find out here.
What reflections have I had about the impact of lockdown?
▪ Having cut out all the travel my blood pressure has dropped.
▪ My diet has improved with easier access to good food and my energy levels gone up
▪ My productivity has slumped with more time available, more distractions and a strange shift to my identity that I put down in part to not moving environment as frequently.
▪ I haven't missed the social contact as much as I thought I would... but then us introverts wouldn't have I suppose. That's changing now though and I'm reaching out far more
▪ Running Spring via Zoom primarily, is continuing to surprise and delight me. The impact our work is having is as strong as before. There is a massive opportunity to have a richer blend of remote and face to face work in future for all our clients.
▪ The goodwill of clients and suppliers has been humbling. We have had clients honour invoices to us, we've been able to offer the same and the virtuous circle of helping each other has grown.

What's in this email for you?
▪ A short blog post about methods of overcoming the stress of things not going your way!
▪ The usual mix of articles featured on the Spring Twitter Feed, Facebook page & my personal Linkedin Profile.
▪ Some new books that I've been reading and found valuable - often after they've been recommended to me, so I like to keep passing them on. They're added to my not-for-profit reading list - have a look and see what you make of them. If you do buy any, then the proceeds go to the S.U.R.E Charity at the Beacon Centre that do so much wonderful work fighting cancer (including my Dad's)

Let me know what you're finding useful from the articles and blogs I'm sharing. If there's anything you'd like to hear more about, then I can include that in future.
Thanks,
Luke
