Coaching Courses and YOU

Several coaching courses are being offered this fall, to prepare you for volunteer Coach opportunities with our Club.

If you love to ski and would like to share your enthusiasm, these courses are for you.
The Club pays for the courses in return for a commitment to coach in one of our programs.

The first level course - Introduction to Community Coaching Course (ICC) is now an online course you can do at your own pace and time. First complete the Coach Initiation to Sport module, then the ICC course. The ICC module takes 4-5 hours to complete. This course is for coaching children 6 and under.

Please let Marilyn know you want to do this and information will be sent to you. snscmarilyn@gmail.com

The Community Coaching Course (CC) is an on-snow Course December 7-9 on Mt Washington. The ICC course is prerequisite for CC. This course is for coaching children age 6-9 years. Friday night session is about 3 hours.

The Learning to Train (L2T) courses for coaching youth age 9-12 years are in two parts:

▪ Learning to Train Dryland is September 21-23 on Mt Washington
▪ Learning to Train On-Snow is January 4-6 on Mt Washington. Friday night sessions are approximately 3 hours.

Nordic Manager Job Opportunity

Sadly our beloved Nordic Manager, Marc Lyster, will be moving on this year and will not be back up on the mountain in that position. He will be missed by our club as we have worked closely with him during his time as Nordic Manager and have greatly appreciated his grooming and management of the nordic area.

Check out the job notice and please forward it to anyone you think would be interested. Applicants are to forward interest to Mike Manara.
