Easy Back to School Mudroom Ideas

Today we are focusing on making your mudroom the perfect welcome home spot, and tips and tricks to keep it organized! Click the images for the full tutorials or click here for all of the latest Remodelaholic tutorials.

Tip #1: Use a narrow wall shelf and bench with wall hooks turned this entry hall into an organized space. (above)

Tip #2: Use a weekend to build cubbies and lockers in a nook in your entryway. Learn how to build these here.

Tip #3: Use your vertical space with a hall tree! This great bench organizer was made from an old dresser (tutorial here), and it's a great storage solution when you have limited space or are renting.

Tip #4: Use a compact storage bench. This little under the stairs mudroom area is a great use of space, and the combination of the bins in the bench and the hooks on the wall give everything a home to keep it organized.

Tip #5: Maximize that coat closet! When you don't have a room to be a mudroom, even a small coat closet can be updated to work like a mini-mudroom. Some hooks and a couple of shelves replaced the closet rail here in this closet to make it work for a busy family.
