Back to school prep is in full swing, and school has even started for some! It's a bitter-sweet time of year. To help with the excitment and the adjustment to the new classes and new schedule, we have 5 easy ways for you to make your entryway work as a mudroom/drop-zone/functional storage space, because those backpacks won't organize themselves!

Working on something? We'd love to see! Send us a photo or message us on Facebook.

Tip #4: Use a compact storage bench. This little under the stairs mudroom area is a great use of space, and the combination of the bins in the bench and the hooks on the wall give everything a home to keep it organized.

Reinterpreting the Hall Closet to a Mini Mudroom

Tip #5: Maximize that coat closet! When you don't have a room to be a mudroom, even a small coat closet can be updated to work like a mini-mudroom. Some hooks and a couple of shelves replaced the closet rail here in this closet to make it work for a busy family.
