LASER HAIR REMOVAL
For many of us, we have a need to remove annoying or unwanted hair from various parts of our body. Lasers provide a quick and permanent way in which to accomplish this with little or no down time.
At Quintessa Medical Spa, we use the LightSheer® diode laser that emits a non-invasive light in the form of a concentrated beam which focuses specifically on the hair follical. The light heats up the hair follicle, impeding its ability to regrow. Multiple hair follicles can be treated at one time in both small as well as large areas of your body. Though, unlike waxing or eletrolysis, laser hair removal is quicker and permanent.
THERMIRF SKIN TIGHTENING TECHNOLOGY
ThermiRF is an exciting device that is able to meet three important cosmetic goals. Skin tightening, wrinkle relaxation, and fat reduction are all possible using radiofrequency (RF) energy. Using ThermiRase, ThermiSmooth, or ThermiTight, ThermiRF energy targets subdermal layers of skin and facial nerves, as well as unwanted fat cells that have been resistant to diet and exercise. Although a very small incision is needed, the procedure is significantly shorter and more comfortable than surgery. Best of all, downtime is minimal.
CHEMICAL PEELS
Sun exposure, acne or just getting older can leave your skin tone uneven, wrinkled, spotted or scarred. If you want your skin to look smoother and younger, consider a chemical peel, which uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers.
A chemical peel is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. Although chemical peels are used mostly on the face, they can also be used to improve the skin on your neck and hands.
Chemical solutions are carefully applied to your skin to improve the texture by removing damaged outer layers. The formula used by your esthetician will be adjusted to meet your particular needs.
WRINKLE FILLERS
Gravity, sun exposure, and the repetition of normal facial muscle movements all contribute to the natural aging process. Lines and creases form in the skin as the underlying tissue breaks down. Injectables and wrinkle fillers (also known as “dermal fillers”) are a great way to smoother skin.
LASER RESURFACING
Sun, environmental hazards, and normal aging of the skin can cause it to wrinkle or look older than we’d like. That is why we at Quintessa Medical Spa offer our clients several different options to improve skin texture and appearance using advanced laser therapy.
Laser resurfacing, often referred to as a “laser peel”, is a superb skin resurfacing option which often offers better results and shorter down time than other modalities. Laser resurfacing can improve a variety of skin concerns including facial scars, wrinkles and blemishes. During treatment, the laser sends short, concentrated pulses of light at irregular skin, precisely removing the damaged outer layers of skin. At the same time, the laser energy heats the underlying skin, or the dermis, thus stimulating the growth of new collagen. The result is smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin.
ULTHERAPY™
We are excited to have an Ultherapy device at Quintessa Medical Spa as we were one of the first ten facilities to obtain this device in the United States and will be one of twenty-five facilities in their Phase One Clinical Release.
Known as the first non-surgical device to be FDA approved for facial lifting, Ultherapy is the most efficacious treatment available. Ultherapy is an ultrasound-based technology that can heat the deeper tissue of the skin using ultrasound waves.
This technology is very exciting due to the fact that it completely bypasses the overlying skin and thus creates no injury whatsoever to the skin’s surface. Ultherapy only injures the deeper tissue thereby stimulating collagen growth, which causes a tightening of the area. Visible results can be seen within approximately three months, but some patients report and show visible results in less time. There is no downtime and patients can return to work immediately.
