Thank you! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "What a spectacular day here in Ohio – it was a little chilly but the sunshine was gorgeous. A little sun goes a long way! Boy, this year reminds me of a line from Fly Like An Eagle, a song by the Steve Miller Band – time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin into the future. It is flying by a little quicker each week that goes by. Some days I would like time to slow down a bit (but not while I am at work Ha! Ha!)" "My WORD for this week is “HIGHER.” Are we ready to go “higher” in Jesus? He is ready for us to. He is waiting on us to make the move closer to Him. To spend more time with the Holy Spirit. To spend more time in the Word. To spend more time in prayer and fasting. When we go “higher” in Him, I believe there will be more miracles, signs, and wonders to behold. The Holy Spirit longs to spend more time with us. He has so much to show us and tell us and teach us. We can encourage others to go “higher” as well. Don’t leave them behind and if they do fall behind – stop and help them along the way. That is where our servanthood comes into play. To be like Jesus – that should always be our desire. Are you ready to go “higher”? I sure am – let’s go! I pray we all feel a little more elevated!" But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! ~ Jude 20-21 (MSG) | March Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11am Austin Young, Pastoral Intern, will be delivering the message on the final Sunday of March. We are set to blast off July 17-21 from 6-8pm. | www.goodnessgrows4all.org Our Mission Statement: To cultivate personal, social, and community growth through gardening, education, and opportunity for people of all abilities. | We started off this week with a field trip to the bank, some shopping, and a stop for lunch at McDonald's. While at GG, we stayed very busy cleaning the Sanctuary chairs, watering our flowers, and hunting for fallen trees in the woods. Our week will end with set up for the church's potluck luncheon. Getting everything set up and ready to go is one of the tasks our crew is happy to do to help out. Baking was the name of the game on Tuesday as we tried our hands at making some M&M cookies. While in the kitchen, we also started assembling a basket that will be donated to our friends at DIVA Donations for their upcoming fundraiser at the Magic Tree in April. Ava came for a visit and we headed out to show her around the greenhouse, gardens, and woods. It was a beautiful (and chilly) day for exploring! If you ever want to come explore with us, you are always welcome! Definitely make sure you dress for the weather. On Wednesday we tried another apple butter recipe, making apple butter cream cheese spread...recipe available on the counter at the desk. Perhaps you want to give it a go?!?! It is tasty and full of flavor. We enjoyed it on Club crackers but think it would make an excellent dip for apples. A field trip to Home Depot to get supplies for Saturday's Scout projects also took up a bunch of our day. It was another beautiful day to get out and about. Speaking of Saturday, Rachel will be leading a group of young Scouts in several projects. Her plan is to do some planting in the greenhouse, some building, and maybe some exploring. Volunteers are always welcome at service days like this. Would you like to come and help some goodness grow?
