Fall will be here before we know it! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray you are all doing well this week. The weather has been outstanding here in NE Ohio. Cannot believe July is in the second half. Wow, time is speeding by at a record pace. I had one sunflower bloom this week and it was one that came up from seeds that had dropped last year. The ones I planted from seed haven’t bloomed quite yet. Our curious deer in our backyard helped themselves to a few of the tops already. Hopefully will be some left to bloom in full." "My WORD for this week is “CRUSHED.” Have you ever felt “crushed” by others in this life? There are many things in our lives that can “crush” us. If we are not careful, we will get stuck in that state. There are many words that can “crush” other people and, if we do not watch our words with our Holy Spirit check valve, we may be responsible for doing just that. When something gets “crushed” under the weight, it can be destroyed. We never want to be the cause of something like that. We may be “crushed,” but we are not abandoned. The Holy Spirit is right there with us, leading and guiding us. Let Him take the reins and let the healing take place. Regroup, renew, restore, refresh us, Holy Spirit. Let your presence flow through us as only you can. Take out any hurt and replace with sweet love and peace that passes ALL UNDERSTANDING. What we do not know, you will reveal to us in time. What we cannot understand, you will make crystal clear in time. I pray anyone that needs to hear this word this week will let the Holy Spirit carry you through." “If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.” ~ Psalm 34:18 (MSG) ~~~ | Blessing Box Located by the Sanctuary doors, the Blessing Box is always available. If you have a need, please write it on one of the cards next to the box and pop it inside. Additionally, if you are not comfortable putting the need on a card, we are always reachable by email at: connectinglife.clc@gmail.com or commongroundsecretary@gmail.com Requests for help with any need will be kept confidential. | July Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11am We're excited to welcome you to Worship, in church and online! ~~~ | Outdoor Worship July 30 - August 27 - September 24 Mark your calendars and join us for church in the great outdoors! If you are running a farm or a garden, you get to enjoy plenty of time in the beautiful surroundings outside, listening to the birds and the breeze, excercising your muscles, while weeding! Have you ever wondered if weeding a garden is exercise? Yes! In fact, the Henry Ford Health Group has shown that getting out in the yard for just 30-45 minutes can burn up to 300 calories. Routine gardening activities, such as raking, weeding and trimming, engage multiple muscle groups at once, improving your overall fitness level. The Mayo Clinic reports that garden tasks like weeding have been shown to lighten mood and lower levels of stress and anxiety. Gardening routines, like watering and weeding, can create a soothing rhythm to ease stress. Come relieve some stress by weeding with us! You'll be helping our plants grow, keeping the property looking neat, and improving your overall health and well-being! Our crew hasn't just been weeding though. Four GG folks headed to Fitness For Us All on Wednesday, where they also worked on their health and well-being, while having plenty of fun!
