YooperCon is an exciting event for high school students to explore cybersecurity opportunities, computing careers and computer science. This event is held at NMU and sponsored by the UP Cybersecurity Institute and the Mi-STEM Network. The event is free and lunch will be provided. Technology can have a powerful impact on learning when students are taught how to leverage its possibilities. To assist with that, the MITECS were created and consist of seven big picture technology skills. Students need to learn how to use technology to become a Global Collaborator, Innovative Designer, Creative Communicator, Digital Citizen, Computational Thinker, Knowledge Constructor, and Empowered Learner.
