Izzy here. So here's the news - from here on in I'm going live on both Periscope and YouTube at 4 CST every day of the week except Saturday to pray with you, lead you in Hebrew Bible studies, and answer your questions! And I'd love to see your smiling face.
This announcement comes after a couple months of experimenting with Periscope and YouTube broadcasting, surveying you on what your best time would be, and seeing some reaaaaally exciting things happening on our live streams!!
Here's what you do.
For YouTube,
1. Go to our channel here. Now, see the Subscribe button? Click it! 2. Click the gear icon that just appeared to the right of the Subscribe button. 3. Tick the "send all notifications" box. 4. Click "manage settings" under that, then under "channel subscriptions" tell YouTube you want notifications by mobile and email.
Alternatively, you can just get on our channel at 4 CST and look for the live broadcast.
For Periscope,
1. Download Periscope for Apple here or Android here 2. Follow us here or by searching "holylanguage", it's the "Izzy teaching Hebrew" one. 3. Turn on your notifications for the Periscope app so you'll know the second we go live.
I can't wait to see you!
And listen, just so you know, this is a big risk I'm taking, offering daily lessons for free. If you're a subscriber, please don't unsubscribe just because there's free stuff available, or I'll be forced to going back to offering less stuff for free. I really don't want to do that, my heart is to operate as a mininistry and give away as much as possible. I need you, I really do.
And if you're not a subscriber, I need you too. Subscribe here - it's only a dollar a day - and go from being a taker to a giver. Thanks so much! <3
Daisy's Story
Daisy is following Yeshua in a Hebrew way! Here's her story.
At the urging of my father, I joined a church as a child of twelve or thirteen.
Eventually, I came to make a commitment to the Lord for myself, but it was very superficial.
After marriage, my husband and I began to seek the Lord on a more consistent basis. We grew spiritually and encouraged our children in the Word of God. We have five grown children and eight grandchildren.
Around 2012, I heard a message about the pagan roots of Christmas. That started a journey. We researched what we heard and that led to more discoveries about our Christian faith.
Eventually, we learned that the Almighty's commandments were still valid today - all of them. Of course, this led to worshiping and resting on the Sabbath day and this led to celebrating the holy days of Leviticus 23.
All of this piqued my interest in Hebrew, the language of the Torah. I completed Zola Levitt's Introduction to Hebrew and another basic Hebrew book. I found "Hebrew Quest" on HRN's website sometime ago.
I finally decided to take the plunge and see if I could further my study of Hebrew through all that is offered through Holy Language's website. I am glad I did. I am taking advantage of the wealth of information and opportunity that is offered. I am seventy-one years of age, so this is good for my brain. I give thanks to our Father for this opportunity to learn the language of the Bible at this time in my life.
