RSA Food Farming and Countryside Commission Produces Its Final Report
After two years of consultation, research and investigation, the RSA Commission, chaired by Sir Ian Cheshire, has produced its final report - "Our Future in the Land" which can be read by clicking here. Red Tractor Assurance Publishes Pig Scheme Member Newsletter
Nine months after the new approach to Red Tractor audits was rolled out to pig scheme members, this recent newsletter gives some positive news about how the vast majority of members are seeing no change to their inspection regime. There is also a handy table listing the most common non-conformances found on farms which have then required an unannounced spot check. To read the newsletter click here.

This Sunday, on the Lincs FM farming programme, an interview recorded with our Chief Executive, George Dunn, at the Great Yorkshire Show, will be broadcast. TFA at the Royal Welsh Show 2019
TFA Cymru Chairman, Dennis Matheson, TFA Cymru Vice-Chairman, Elwyn Evans, and Chief Executive, George Dunn, will be attending next week's Royal Welsh Show.
Dennis and Elwyn will be there Monday 22 – Wed 24 July, while George is visiting on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 July only. The TFA will not have a stand at this event. However, if you would like to sit down for a chat with either Dennis, Elwyn or George, please contact TFA Head Office on 0118 930 6130 for a specific appointment.
It's a Girl!
Members will be pleased to hear that TFA Farm Policy Adviser, Lynette Steel, and her husband Henry welcomed a baby girl into the world earlier this month. Pippa Elizabeth Steel is doing well and already counting sheep with her parents!
TFA Welcomes Back Adriana Vaux
Having left the TFA to work in private practice, we are delighted to be welcoming back Adriana Vaux to the Head Office team as a TFA Adviser. Initially, she will be mostly covering for the maternity leave of TFA Farm Policy Adviser, Lynette Steel, as well as advising members on tenancy related matters.
Long term, she will add to the Association's advisory capacity and will play a key role in developing our TFA+ service. TFA members can read about this on page 32 of the newly produced Member’s Handbook by clicking here.
