Hello food-loving friends!

You've asked over and over, and I've threatened to provide a newsletter for, oh, say 5 years or so, now, and would you look at THIS! I finally pulled it together, y'all.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement over the years beginning with the inception of From Maggie's Farm, through the evolution of actual dirt and mortar farm to the support of local farms through word and deed, and for the last several years, working with farmers markets and local food producers to promote the best, most wholesome food around.

Several years ago, I also began teaching cooking classes to individuals and groups, alike. Many of you have followed along and seen my table, kitchen, home and yard filled several nights a week with lively crowds curious about food, eager to learn to prepare it for themselves, and hungry to connect with their community through intimate gatherings large and small, public and private. It's really been a blast. And a dream fulfilled. And I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for nudging me along.

Now to the fun part--- all the goings on From Maggie's Farm!

My best,
Maggie

From beginning skills classes to big raucous throwdowns, from economical healthy-fare workshops to hands-on Date Night homemade pasta with all of the fixings, April's got it ALL. New this month, learn more about Sheet Pan Spring Dinners, simple & sophisticated fare made easy, and Traditional Creole Crawfish Boils (and what to do with the leftovers), plus a special pet project you'll see every month now, (and I'm SO EXCITED!) a most civilized Saturday with Miss Maggie P's Afternoon Tea, a tasty adventure for all ages.

There are a few private events scheduled for the month as well, so let me remind you not hesitate to reach out by email if I can help you plan a private class, special event, or custom team-building experience tailored to your needs.

We enjoyed our handmade empanadas in a recent Eat the World hands on workshop with Argentine Chimichurri. It's a bright and lively condiment perfect for rich meats and full-flavored pastries. I developed the recipe for a local magazine a few years back, based from several traditional versions. Try it on grilled meats and vegetables this summer. You're going to develop a thing for this, I'm warning you.

For tea lovers, or others, of all ages, we'll learn to prepare, and nibble upon assorted savories and sweets, master a perfectly prepared cup of tea, and learn the etiquette that surrounds a proper tea service. Learn more about what promises to be a tasty treat of an afternoon, below, and grab your spot while they last.

(My sweet departed Grannies would ask you to please help me make my dreams come true, and give me a reason to put on some lipstick and pull out the family china.)
