Greetings from a sunny Yiwu, China.

Hope you are doing fine.
I arrived in China a few days ago, having spent a week at AW HQ.. a very emotional, exhausting week.
If you read last weeks newsletter - (you can read it here) - Rodrigo finally secured his visa got his passport back after 7 months and 7 days and was reunited with his wife and friends on Wednesday.
Thank you to all the people that emailed congratulations and shared in our joy. Rodrigo tells me he received lots and lots of messages and so did I. Thank you kind people.

Anyway, Rodrigo has been thrown back into action as we are just sooooooo busy it's untrue. Everyday a new container, lots of new exciting stock. He is back in the marketing office, setting up webpages and reaching out to our lovely customers about all these lovely new gift products we have arriving. The place is so alive with activity.. all week all hours. I spent time with all our key members of staff and as many of the rest of the team as possible. I have to say I am seriously proud of our AW family.. they all get it that we are in the GIFT business - helping you our customers to bring gifts (acts of love) to your customers. It's all good karma.

Do you believe in karma?

Last week I was bemoaning the fact that our government has an awful and divisive system for controlling the immigrant wives and husbands access to the UK. To call it an Evil System, would not be an unfair description. Breaking hearts, destroying love and lives of thousands of couples. I don't think it is a small problem, a third of children in the UK (I read) are born to mixed nationality couples, when I think of all my friends in the UK, they are almost all in international relationships.
It was under Mrs May that this evil system was perfected, given the job of reducing immigration to the tens of thousands she missed no opportunity to block access even to those in love.
So when those letters started dropping off, a prankster handed her a P45 and that nagging cough just wouldn't (achem) go away, like a lot of people I felt sorry for her, but couldn't help feeling that for Mrs May karma had come knocking.

The worlds not perfect, things go wrong all the time, but somethings you have to make sure are right. Or do your best at least, the team that manages our country can't even get their letters to stick, they let a nutter into their key conference (and yet keep good people out of the country) and didn't even think to give their leader some meds to deal with that cough beforehand. Seriously.. this team is in charge of our country!? The problem is I'm not sure there is any better alternative.

Sorry about the rant - never talk about politics - (note to self ..try not to rant.). Good people please don't get upset with me!!

Back to the warm and wonderful world of gifts.
