Sunday's Service - May 13, 2018

Featured scripture verses are: 1 Corinthians 7:8-17
for Adam's message: To Be Married or Not.

Join us this Sunday for Worship!

Raised Beds Available

Only five raised beds left! If you would like to grow here at Common Ground, talk to Jen Lynch or Rachel Vignon to reserve one. Grow your own veggies, herbs, flowers...whatever makes you happy!

Garden News

Pat Shannon will lead the Garden this Sunday, with a lesson about turning to Jesus whenever you're afraid. Kids, bring your Bibles!
There will be no Garden on the 20th as we observe Communion. We will finish out the school year on the 27th, with Jen Lynch leading.

Garden Summer Break Starts June 3rd

Our Garden class takes a break for summer, to give kids the benefit of experiencing and participating in Worship for a season. Much is gained by observing others in worship, when life-long traditions begin to be established. Even when kids seem to not pay attention, or you think the material is over their heads, they absorb more than we realize. And, as it says in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."

Youth Group News

Last Sunday we talked about strength - how we often try to rely on our own when we actually need to turn to God's strength. We also made cards for a special person, worked on a rock painting project, and enjoyed some time outside. Each Sunday evening together is full of adventures and blessings! There will be no Youth Group this Sunday. Kids, stay home and take care of Mom on Mother's Day! Our final Youth Group evening before summer break will be May 20th.

Bible Studies

Sunday Morning: Pat Shannon leads a class on the book of Matthew; 9:30 - 10:30am.

Wednesday Morning: Ladies Study - Dwelling in God's Peace from the Jesus Calling Bible Study Series by Sarah Young; 9am.

Friday Evening: Bible Study at the Shannon's house; 6pm.

You are welcome to join in a study at any time!

Coat & Clothing Drive

Ongoing Mission Opportunity
Any time throughout the year that you have clothing and outerwear to donate, remember that you can bring it right here. Drop items off in the storage room by the Cafe or up in the Green Room. Collection will continue right up until our October Giveaway Day.

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
What can YOU do?
