Prayer

For whom are you praying today?
How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"The sunshine has been gorgeous lately – I pray you have been enjoying it. Hard to believe we are already in the second week of November. The older I get, the faster time goes. Funny how that is. God has been confirming to me that sending out this encouragement for us all should definitely continue. I pray we all are gleaning a little something from God’s Word each week. I know I have learned and grown in my relationship with Him so much since I have been doing this. Never underestimate what you do for God. He will multiply it over and over again. He gets sweeter every day!"

"My Word for this week is “LIMIT.” So many uses for this word for sure. Sporting events sometimes have a time “limit.” We need to go the speed “limit,” or we may get a ticket. There is no “limit” when someone is grieving a loved one. In school we may have a test that has a time “limit.” If we eat too much our scale may go over the “limit” we like to see. There is also a “limit” as to how long one can go without water. Are we living our life in a way that we may be putting a “limit” on God? He wants to prosper us in every way possible. But He also wants our time. He wants us to wake up every morning and remember Him first and foremost. The Holy Spirit wants to help us through our day but, are we letting Him? Let us take the “limit” off God and let Him rule and reign over everything in our lives. Withholding nothing. Let us stretch our “limit” to reach out and show God’s love to everyone we meet. Let God’s love “limit” be our guide!"

I know how to live when I am poor, and I know how to live when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of being happy at any time in everything that happens, when I have enough to eat and when I go hungry, when I have more than I need and when I do not have enough. I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength. ~ Philippians 4:12-13 (NCV)

News of the Week

Our schedule has changed and we will not be in Salem at a craft show this Saturday. We look forward to the first weekend of December for the Holiday Flea and the Canfield H.S. Craft Show. If you need jams, apple butter, or catnip toys for your Thanksgiving festivities, we have plenty available right here in North Lima! We think a Thanksgiving feast isn't complete without some GG jam, and now GG apple butter, too! Since it is November and our thoughts are on Thanksgiving, we started a "Thankful Board" this week. There is always something to be thankful for, and we encourage you to take time each day to find your thankful thoughts!

This week's beautiful weather helped us start the week with plenty of exercise and sunshine. We dove right in to more outdoor work, neatening up growing areas and getting ready for the cold season to come. As always, this meant spending time...lots and lots of time...battling weeds! You are always more than welcome to join us in our ongoing fight against the weeds.

St. Vincent de Paul came on Tuesday and picked up the items from the warehouse, and our crew helped get the truck packed in a jiffy. On Wednesday, our friend Logan, from Central State University visited us to discuss ideas for farm improvement. One of his suggestions was to add mulched leaves to our compost. This brings us to a question - Do any of you have a leaf mulching machine we could borrow? We do have a lawn mower with mulching capability, but we're interested in trying actual mulching equipment, freestanding or handheld. If you have such a machine, we would truly appreciate being able to borrow it to see if this is a worthwhile investment!

We Are Collecting...

GG is collecting egg shells, egg cartons, and coffee grounds. Please leave cartons at the
front desk. Egg shells and coffee grounds can be placed in the black wastebasket to the
left of the pew by the Café. Thank you for the items that have already come in!

Jungle Jam & Juicy Jam

Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam are available in several flavors at Reach for the STARS in Salem and in Columbiana at the Chamber of Commerce office. We are also glad to arrange a pick up at GG.

Jungle Jam: Blueberry Jalapeno, Cranberry Jalapeno, Hot,
Cherry Habanero, Peach Habanero, Pineapple Habanero, Dragon
Juicy Jam: Peach Lemonade, Cranberry Orange

Homemade apple butter available here, $5 per jar. Apple butter makes a great gift!
When your jar is empty, please return the jar and the ring.
GG can put it to good use next year. Thanks!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
