The Victorian Fair Trade Festival is just around the corner and I am urging everyone to be part of the celebrations. As consumers you are very powerful, so as the Fair Trade Fortnight approaches, keep in mind the slogan of this year's festival, ACT LOCAL and THINK GLOBAL. The impact of your consumer choices locally, will have global impact.

This year festival is going to be amazing, check out the Victorian Fair Trade Festival Program or the Fair Trade Event Trail to see how everyone has come together collaboratively to create an amazing program of activities.

This year we are launching the Festival on the 10th of May with a colourful market at the Brunswick Town Hall in the heart groovy Brunswick.

The market falls on Mothers' Day, perfect opportunity to take a stroll with mum, grandma and the family. Enjoy the day together and buy a gift which means so much more.

Fair Trade School Program – “Dare to Play Bare Footed”

This program is designed to combine sport and education by encouraging primary school aged students to learn about fair trade and its benefits for children and families in developing countries, while playing soccer at the same time.

Fair Trade from Morning to Night Exhibition

When: 8 – 22 May, 2015
Where: Good to Go Cafe, Hosier Lane, Melbourne CBD
PRICE: Free
The purpose of this exhibition is to demonstrate how easily accessible fair trade products are and how they can be incorporated into your everyday life through simple everyday consumer choices; from the first cup of coffee in the morning to a nice cosy sleep on fair trade bed sheets at night. The installation will provide consumers with information about a selection of fair trade products, while also providing information about the social story behind the products.
