Hi Bag Makers!
That's right… Black Friday is coming, but don't worry I will send you another reminder next week. By the way, there will probably be a bit of a shipping backlog after Black Friday, there usually is, so if you need anything sooner, it might be worth it to put in a separate order before then.
We've got some fantastic new things in the shop for you to experiment with. I just know you will love playing with our screw together grommets, screw-in gate rings, and chicago screws. Lots of screwing to do here! That's right, we are all adults, we can say that ;-) Check out the new bag hardware and put grommets in handbags, and gate rings in grommets. It's good fun, and your handbags will look AMAZING!

Bag Strap Tutorials:
I posted a few bag strap tutorials in our Facebook group: Emmaline Sewing Patterns Group, and if you aren't in there, or if you haven't dropped in lately, you may have missed them, so I'll share them here for you.
Here is a great strap tutorial for vinyl, leather, or cork. It uses a 3-fold method and leaves 1 raw edge on the bottom side. It's a lot thinner than a 4-fold strap and will work great when you need a thinner strap: GO HERE
This is very good one by Lisa Lam of U-Handbag. It uses leather, vinyl, or cork and a contrast or complimentary fabric to make it thin and easy to make: GO HERE
Here is an old one of my own. This is a tutorial to make vinyl straps, but it would well with cork or leather, and you'll have not raw edges to contend with and no fiddly turning to do: GO HERE
I hope one or all of those are helpful to you.
Watch for my Black Friday sale next week with all of the details you need to get all of your copper and gold goodies! Happy Sewing!
