Handmade Gift Ideas + a Book Giveaway!

Hello friends!

How is December treating you? Are you feeling cool and collected, ready for Christmas? Or maybe you're more like me: a little harried, feeling some disbelief that Christmas is in a week!

This week I thought I'd share a few ideas for fast, last-minute handmade gifts. There's a variety to choose from including some that are really quick:

If your time for Christmas sewing is dwindling, but you're still itching to make something festive, check out this quick tutorial for these cute patchwork tree ornaments.

Somethings you might have missed on the blog this week:

I reviewed this GREAT new book: Quilting Row by Row. It's a darling sampler quilt with 11 rows in stead of blocks. Each row teaches a different quilting technique or skill. And I've got one to give away!

In spite of busy schedules and to-do lists, I'm also enjoying the Christmas concerts, the gathering with friends and families to celebrate and share traditions.

I made time for a little sewing, working on this cute Salt Box house quilt block from Quilt Mania magazine (you can read more about it here.)

I still have a little bit of Christmas sewing to finish this week, but mostly quick projects like pillow cases and last minute gifts that should be fun. Most of all, I'm looking forward to the fun traditions that come with the week before Christmas.

I hope you will enjoy this last week of this festive time of year!

xoxo
