Pizza Pinwheels

September 2015

Now that kids everywhere are settled back into school routines, we're dedicating this newsletter to fast and healthy recipes for families. If you're looking for new inspiration for lunches, dinners, and after-school snacks, we've got you covered.

For starters, we have a playful new lunch box recipe for Pizza Pinwheels with Hummus and Veggies made with Sabra's new Pizza Hummus Singles. These pinwheels are adorable, nutritious, and impossible to resist.

Dinner just got a whole lot easier with our Rib-Sticking Meatloaf Makeover. It's made with lean ground beef, fresh basil, oats, and a grated carrot, and it's freezer friendly too.

Pizza night can save the day when you're too busy to cook an elaborate family dinner. To boost the nutritional GPA of your favorite pizza dinner, try Liz's new Broccoli Crunch Salad recipe made with broccoli florets, light mayo, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, crunchy almonds, and dried cranberries. It's a perfect pairing for pizza and a great way to balance your plate!

Be sure to tune into our two newest Cooking with the Moms podcast episodes on Healthy After-School Snacks for Kids and No-Recipe Recipes for Busy Families.

We're planning a future podcast on pancakes versus French toast and would love to hear what your family loves best. Click through to SURVEY MONKEY and tell us if you're a pancake or a French toast family, and stay tuned for the show!!

Enjoy the arrival of autumn, and as always get in touch if you have a food or nutrition question or just want to say hi. Our email is moms@mealmakeovermoms.com.
