"I have been creating portraits, it seems, all of my life. For years, I worked in diverse medium - pastel, colored pencil, graphite pencil, ink. To be honest, any medium that allowed me to create and express emotion, I embraced! Then, I discovered watercolor and a new substrate called Aquabord. The delicate saturation of color, the iridescence of diffuse light is where my passion fell...
Tending to be soft-hearted, I am often deeply affected by other's mood and emotion... Watercolor allows me to mimic this nature in a delicate transparency of color. My most personal love is to capture those fleeting moments often missed, in a subtle expression, a direction of the eyes or a simple turn of the head. In my life, all I am and all I hope to be can be found within my artwork."
