We had a wonderful morning of friendship and creativity. | Maundy Thursday Service ~ April 18th at 7pm Communion and Tenebrae Service What is a Tenebrae Service? The word "tenebrae" comes from the Latin meaning "darkness." The Tenebrae is an ancient Christian Good Friday service that makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles to symbolize the events of that week, from the triumphant Palm Sunday entry through Jesus' burial. This increasing darkness symbolizes the approaching darkness of Jesus' death and of hopelessness in the world without God. The service concludes in darkness, symbolizing the death of Jesus. The worshipers then leave in silence to ponder the impact of Christ's death and await the coming Resurrection. | Easter Sunday Service ~ April 21st Join us to celebrate the Resurrection Sunday. Special Music will be provided by Audrey Shannon and Janine Landis. | www.goodnessgrows4all.org Our Mission Statement: To cultivate personal, social, and community growth through gardening, education, and opportunity for people of all abilities. ~~~ | Birdhouse Gourds | April Adventures Our clients and classrooms have been busy, busy, busy! We have sealed and hung up gourds, worked outside, weeded and planted in the greenhouses, and spent time loving the spring weather. On Monday, we volunteered at Whispering Pines and then enjoyed lunch at El Paso and a shopping trip to Marc's in Salem. Tuesday's cooking project with Sue Weaver was a huge success.
