Please bring a side dish, appetizer, salad or dessert and/or a beverage to share and come CONNECT over dinner! We look forward to a good time of fellowship together! Feel free to bring a friend and or a newcomer to our congregation. All adults of all ages are welcome to attend, however, no childcare is provided.

Kid's SERVE: Acolyte Thanks and Training

Sunday, Sept. 25th after Worship

We will offer a pizza lunch and training for those kids who have served or are interested in serving as acolytes. Please call the church office or reply to this email to register, so we can be sure we have enough food and materials on hand. We will be finished by 1:30pm.

GROW: Candler to Host Lecture Series on Faith & Politics

As the United States counts down to November 8 and the election of a new president, Candler will host public intellectuals and scholars of religion and culture for a lecture series entitled “Faith and Politics in the 21st Century.”

Come and CONNECT in the N. GA Mountains at the Women's Weekend Getaway!

October 7-9

Please make plans to attend a time of relaxation and discussion in the beautiful North GA mountains at Lisa Yates' mountain home. It’s basically a stress free time away! All you need to bring is your bath linens and your pillow and clothes! Bed linens are provided. There are two queen beds, two futons, two singles (top bunks), two doubles (bottom bunks), an air mattress that will sleep two and a garage apartment with a queen bed and floor space for another air mattress. There are a couple of comfy couches (not sleeper sofas however). Food details are coming soon.

The Yates’ home is up I 85 N to 985 and off of Hwy 197 North in Clarkesville, GA. It’s about an hour and 40 minutes from Atlanta. Detailed directions will be provided.

Picnic on the Beltline: Welcome Global Ministries to Georgia

On Saturday, October 22, you're invited to join United Methodists from across the state to welcome the board and staff of Global Ministries to Georgia. A welcome picnic featuring music, food, games, and a time of celebration will be held from 1 to 5 pm on the Atlanta Belt Line directly behind Ponce City Market (Green Space C). Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson will serve as our Master of Ceremonies. All church pastors, laity and friends are invited. This will be an especially good opportunity for lay leaders and mission chairs to network and begin to build relationships with our new Global Ministries neighbors. Food tents will include local favorites The Varsity, Willies, Sweet Auburn BBQ, and King of Pops. Children’s activities will be held all afternoon. Click here for more info.
