The Basics Guilford aims to help every family help every child reach their full potential through five science-based principles for caregivers of children birth to age 3.

The Basics are powerful tools and easy to use during normal routines. They are: 1) Maximize Love, Manage Stress 2) Count, Group, and Compare 3) Read and Discuss Stories, 4) Explore Through Movement and Play, and 5) Talk, Sing, and Point.
