Over the past 21 years the SLWCS has hosted many international and national student groups. This is in keeping with the Society’s mandate to encourage, foster and inculcate a passion for field research and applied conservation in students for the conservation of wildlife and their habitats.

The Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society: Forming partnerships and pioneering smart conservation strategies to preserve Sri Lanka’s endangered biodiversity.

The SLWCS is an organization that is seriously committed to creating the next generation of field biologists and conservationists.

We offer students, individuals and families from all around the globe a rare opportunity to work alongside our scientists, conservationists, educators, community partners, and local villagers deep within the heart of beautiful Sri Lanka. Together, we are carrying out essential field research and conservation work while building international support for our mission.

SLWCS has been operating its Volunteering and Intern Program since 2002; it generates much-needed revenue to support our critical conservation and research work.
