Hi,

Thanks so much for joining us at Firehouse last night for our first-ever Poetry Happy Hour! I'm so glad you were able to be a part of this new step forward for our community, and I hope you'll join us for more poetic shenanigans and goings-on in the River City.

Since you've signed up for our email newsletter, I'm sending you the list below of the rest of our September happenings. (I generally send these out just before the first of the month, and hardly ever send more than one unless there's a last-minute change or important news folks should be aware of.) If you have any questions about any of the events, or suggestions for things you'd like to see come to life here in RVA, shoot me an email back. I'd love to hear from you!

Meanwhile, thanks again for being a part of Words on Fire last night, and I look forward to seeing you again some time soon!

Yours in poetry,
Joanna

Freewrite Tuesdays at Sub Rosa!
Sub Rosa Bakery
620 N. 25th St., RVA 23223
Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30am-ish
Who says poetry has to be done in a shuttered attic or at a lonely desk? Come battle your writer’s block with us! This group’s purpose is to create a cozy and informal venue to freewrite and converse-- we believe writing doesn't have to be a solitary sport, and that you never know what inspiration might walk through the door. Although we're open to specialized topics and sharing, there is no formal critique or workshop agenda— simply show up & come and go as you please!
