Happy Spring!

Spring has been very shy this year, not at all ready to show herself, but perhaps she is finally going to make an appearance. To remind you of what's in store, I thought I'd share a couple of images from previous springs.

Lilacs!

Redbuds!

One of my favorite spring blooms (after Lilacs) are the Redbud trees which are in abundance in the Clinton area. The dark magenta buds seem to float in the leaf-less forests. I'm always a bit sad when the Lilacs and the Redbuds are done blooming to think I have to wait another year to see them. They are one of life's many fleeting pleasures, meant to be savored in the moment.

Magnolias!

The magnolia tree at the north end of the village green in Clinton, NY puts on a fabulous show for about a week in May. Sometimes, it's even shorter than a week if we have a heavy rain that washes all the petals to the ground if they are thinking of heading that direction already. So watch closely for it this year so you don't miss it!

Out and About

Check out the April issue of Today's CNY Woman for lots of great stories and info about women who are doing business in Central New York. I was honored to be featured on page 24 of the issue, so you can find out more there about what I've been up to lately.

There's a new restaurant in Clinton, Across the Row Bistro, and they've decorated all the walls with art work from local artists. What a great way to expand the meaning of Support Local Business. A variety of my work is included along with that of Anita Fitzgerald, Kristin Boutin, Tim Pryputniewicz, Dennis DeStefanis, and others.

And, of course, you can always check in at The Artisans' Corner in Clinton to see and purchase some of my work as well as over 30 other talented, local artists.

Coming in May

Watch your inbox in mid-May for the next issue of this newsletter. There are going to some great new items added and a special sale in my online store. Newsletter readers will know about it first!

Wherever you are, stop and take the time to savor all that spring has to offer in the next few weeks.
