Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "God is so good, and his mercies are new to us every day. We are so blessed – beyond measure. This morning here in the northeast, it felt almost like a fall day. Summer is tick-tick-ticking away – even though some of us want it to stay around a little longer. Enjoy while we can – we all know what is coming……the pretty white stuff. God gave me the Word for this week, and I was having a little trouble putting what I felt into the right words, so bear with me." "Our Word for this week is “ONWARD.” Sometimes we get stuck right where we are spinning our wheels, so to speak. But we need to move “onward” and upward. Reminds me of a couple stories in the Bible. There was a lame man that needed Jesus and his friends did everything in their power to make sure he got to Jesus. They took him up on the roof and busted through the roof to lower him to Jesus. Nothing was standing in their way – they were moving “onward” to Jesus. Also, the woman with the issue of blood for years was afflicted and finally something busted within her, and she pushed “onward” to touch just the hem of Jesus garment. Nothing would stand in her way. We need to always be moving “onward” towards Jesus. Last week, our Word was “aim.” We need to make sure our “aim” is “onward” to Jesus. Nothing standing in our way – no one holding us back – not letting our emotions overwhelm us and keeping us floundering instead of busting out and pushing “onward” towards Jesus. We have work to do for Jesus. We have people to reach in love. We have encouragement to share. We have prayers to be prayed. We have friends and family that need us to “bust through a roof for them.” Keep pushing “onward.” Our prize is eternal. Praying we all have an “onward” and upward week!" Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. ~ Luke 5:18-19 (NKJV) | September Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am.
