MAKUTSI - OPEN AGAIN

Just a short Newsletter to share with you the exciting news that we will be welcoming clients again from the 1st of September 2021.

This has been made possible largely thanks to some great news coming from Germany & Switzerland:

...when traveling from Germany & Switzerland, you will only need a negative PCR test on arrival in South Africa, and when RETURNING, NO TEST OR QUARANTINE PERIOD is required as long as you have been fully vaccinated.

We very much hope that other countries will follow with this kind of positive news, and urge you to find out what your countries' regulations are right now.

Travel Test - Makutsi Family Reunion

Since all of the Weber Family has not been together in almost 3 years, and to test out these new travel regulations first hand, we decided it was about time to all get together again at Makutsi.

So we came from Germany and Switzerland and got together at Makutsi during August 2021. It was a wonderful time for all of us to see each other again, and it also confirmed that traveling from Germany and Switzerland to South Africa, and back again, was indeed very easy.

Travel Test Result: there is no better place to enjoy a Family Reunion than Makutsi !

Travel TO South Africa

The following entry regulations apply for travel to South Africa:

1. All travelers over the age of 5, entering or transiting, must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, issued within 72 hours of departure at the first point of embarkation. This PCR test result should be in English, and at least include your full name, date of birth and passport number.
2. All travelers must fill out a Traveler Health Questionnaire, also available upon arrival.

Travel FROM South Africa

(returning to Germany & Switzerland)

If you have been FULLY vaccinated for Covid-19 with CERTAIN vaccines:

1. You need to fill in an entry form before you cross the border.
2. You are exempt from the test and quarantine requirement.

Please make sure to be at the airport nice and early, as they require you to fill out a form before leaving the country.

Please note that most of the regulations concern people who have been FULLY vaccinated, and that the rules and regulations of each country can change on any day. In addition, trips to South Africa are of course ALSO possible for non-vaccinated people. It just means that you will need negative PCR-Tests for each country, and probably will have to quarantine at home on your return (depending on the current conditions). Be sure to check with your airline or travel agent before departure to South Africa.

For those who are not yet able to travel, don't worry, Makutsi won't go anywhere and we will wait for you :)
