Exciting times on the Sapphire Coast as a swirl of travel media come and go, including Channel Nine's Postcards who visited Tathra this week. This adds to a long list of media visits and subsequent exposure for the region as part of the Tathra Recovery Campaign and Unspoilt South Coast Activity. A new Unspoilt South Coast film for Sapphire Coast is now in market. View here and share from Facebook
The film showcases the epic Pambula River Mouth, Greencape Lighthouse, Oysters and camping in Mimosa. Footage, including a range of stunning stills, will be available for future promotion.

"Postcards" Visits Tathra

The hugely popular Channel 9 Series "Postcards" visited the region with a spotlight on Tathra this week. The crew had a fabulous couple of days and caught up with several of our industry partners including On the Perch, Tathra Beach & Bike, Fat Tonys and the Tathra Hotel. The episode will air 23rd September.

Club Marine to visit Eden

Club Marine, Australia's highest circulation audited magazine (and Australia's premier boat and marine insurer) are to visit Eden this month. They'll be exploring the town & region and producing a location feature for their magazine. The feature will focus on boating and fishing infrastructure, including boat ramps, berthing, bait and tackle stores plus general tourism attractions and features. With a circulation of over 90,000 readers this is a win for Eden.

In conjunction with NSW Bike Week, the Bega to Tathra Safe Ride will take place on Sunday 30th September, raising funds for #Ride4Tathra. This is shaping up to be a great event so feel free to publicise it on your own sites for some great cross promotion.

First ever Regional Tourism Target for NSW

On 21st August, Tourism & Major Events Minister Adam Marshall announced the first ever regional tourism target for NSW. The aim is to turbocharge tourism in regional and rural areas and double the current record of visitor expenditure. The initial target is $20 billion by 2025, rising to $25 billion by 2030. It will be supported by a range of initiatives including more funding, more events & more infrastructure. Read the official press release here.

Getting mobile in national parks easy with new mobile app

Over 28,000 people can't be wrong in thinking that the new NSW National Parks app makes visiting the State's most popular national parks and reserves much easier with information and maps ready to explore at your fingertips.
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) Director Visitor Experience, Julie Bishop said the beauty of many of our national parks is their remoteness and diverse landscapes but the very nature of these natural spaces means they are often outside current mobile networks.
“The new NSW National Parks app is already a hit with the state’s national parks visitors,” Ms Bishop said.. Read more about the new App here
