Hi Friend!

Depending on where you live you may have noticed the beautiful blooming lavender everywhere. The Pacific Northwest has a few lavender farms and visiting them always makes me homesick for England. We lived just a short drive from Norfolk where we would frequently visit their charming lavender farm and gift shop. Every time I see or smell lavender it reminds of me of those wonderful years in England.

Here is a cake I developed combining the flavors of lemon, lavender and almonds using a French method to develop an exquisite crumb. That may make it sound complicated, but it's actually very simple - and simply delicious!
