CAN YOU SPARE THE COST OF A COFFEE?
Service Dog Training (SDT) is a not-for-profit organisation providing training for service dogs and their handlers.
How does a service dog help? They can warn a handler that a seizure is imminent, help with pain and depression, help someone just to get out of their home, be a calming presence for children with autism, be an anchor for those suffering PTSD, fetch and carry, open and close doors, cupboards, cabinets and offer physical stability – the list of roles is very long and still ever growing.
The team at SDT are currently training up three puppies for a future as service dogs, but they need our help: Babycino, Long Black and Expresso are asking you to spare the cost of a cup of coffee to assist in their training, healthcare and preparation for the big responsibilities that lie ahead.
Donations can be made at Prahran Vet Hospital or at Spring into Gardening this Sunday
