Spring 2017 Vincent Family Update

history-shot-1024x683

75 Anniversary

Throughout 2017, Streamside will be celebrating 75 years of reaching children and strengthening churches. Founded in 1942 as a camp for African-American children in Philadelphia's Bible clubs who were not welcomed at other camps, Streamside has never lost it's passion to be the camp for those left out. Today we continue to partner with missionaries, churches, ministries and other agencies to make camp affordable and accessible to children and teens who desperately need a life changing week of camp. You are welcome to join us at either of our special events.

1. Saturday, May 13, 2017: Mountain Climb-a-thon and Anniversary Dinner at Streamside
2. Friday, October 13, 2017: Streamside Night at the Frequency Conference in Philadelphia

Streamside campers climb Big Pocono each week during summer camp. Now we will be climbing to get them to camp

As part of the anniversary celebration, Craig will be climbing Big Pocono along with others on Saturday, May 13, 2017 to raise funds for camperships. Please consider sponsoring his climb or another climber at https://bcm21697.thankyou4caring.org/streamside . If you want to join us for the Mountain Climb-a-thon, sign up at https://goo.gl/forms/2CPAEwFv6guxXG693

Regular support of our ministry at Streamside is still needed. Join in this ministry by giving on-line at https://bcm21697.thankyou4caring.org/streamside or by mail to BCM International, 201 Granite Run Drive, Suite 260, Lancaster, PA 17601. Checks should be made out to BCM International and designated to Craig Vincent support (#16191).

Spiritual Fun

Wayne Morgan of National Network of Youth Ministries was a very creative teacher

Sometimes life breaks us up. When that happens, God is able to fix us up. For all of us, God is in the process of finishing us up until we are brand new.

That was the message to 141 young people during Winter Blast. Lessons from the life of the Apostle Paul as well as our speaker's (Wayne Morgan) battle with cancer illustrated these important biblical principles. As Wayne taught, Frankie Cid from our maintenance team gave us a powerful visual aid as he transformed broken sheetrock into a decorated wall.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

In addition to a busy summer camp season, a growing number of retreats as well as our anniversary events, 2017 continues to be an eventful year for our family with the passing of Craig's father, 2 graduations, another wedding and the arrival of our first grandchild. Reyna graduates from homeschool this spring and plans to major in history. Renee will be graduating from Cairn University with a Master's in Counseling on May 6th. Dylan and Renee are moving into the parsonage of a church in West Conshohocken that they will be restarting with some other local pastors. They are expecting their first child in October. Randy and Karena will be married on June 17 and will move to the Norristown area where Randy is transferring to the local Weis Market and Karena will be teaching 1st grade at Penn Christian Academy. Robyn has begun playing coach pitch softball with Pocono Mountain East Little League.
