Hello ,
Greetings from a very Sunny Sheffield.
I have been here at AW HQ this week, catching up with the team and going over all the various projects in hand.
It's really busy, on all front's all go
Last week I was telling you about how it was All Happening, including the volcano on Bali - You can read about it here.
This week: It's been mad / lovely / hard-work / energising all in equal measures. Lots of stuff to sort, and so little time to do it. But it's great to catch up with all the guys at AW and get in amongst the stuff going on.
It's like coming home, except without the football :) I'd really wouldn't* like to apologise to all the football fanatics, sorry fans about my negative remarks last week about the beautiful game. Just glad it's all over and we can move on with real life..
Speaking of which..
It's the famous Tramlines festival in Sheffield, with the main stage practically walking distance from AW in Hillsborough Park, tonight it's the Stereophonic and tomorrow Noel Gallagher.
So great excitement as you can imagine. It's called Tramlines, because all the events are accessible by tramlines, it runs right next to the park. It's a huge event, and for sure there will be gift and craft traders out in force.
But all of Sheffield is in uproar.. why? Because the tram-drivers have chosen this weekend to strike over a pay dispute, I don't know the ins and outs of the dispute, but it does seem a bit mean spirited to disrupt the city this weekend.
This week we had Salt Lamps arrive, along with quite a few new lines, including some Salt Deodorant sticks and shapes. We sold them before many years ago, but now we have the quality spot on and keen prices. A great trading opportunity especially if you sell with a little bit of pretty packaging, and did you know you can warm them up, and use them with massage oils. It's a thing apparently. No sweat!
Also some beautiful new mini Salt Lamps with USB plugs. Going to be amazing gifts. And check.. AW has the best quality and price on Salt Lamps.. (naturally).
Anyway, moving on. Soon I will be off to Asia, hope you are coming along for the journey.
First stop Kuala Lumpa on route to Kolkatta, India then to Nepal then back to India then Indonesia and then to China. Well, that's the plan.
There should be adventures along the way, last time I was in Nepal there was a city wide power cut, and I was mugged right outside the five star hotel.
If you have any advice, ideas or suggestions for Nepal stock items - I'd love to hear from you.
I'm on a mission to find new products to keep you (our amazing customers) happy and coming back for more.
Right now we have some hot hot.. deals see below...
Soooo... take care have a great weekend. Enjoy the sunshine.
David
* Obviously.. when I wrote "wouldn't" I clearly meant to write "would" - I apologise, I apologise :)
