Sutton East Tennis Club, in conjunction with NYC Parks, is pleased to announce that the Sutton East Tennis Club, located at the Queensboro Oval on York Avenue between 59th and 60th Streets, will remain open this summer for tennis play inside our air-conditioned bubble from 6 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week from Friday, June 16 - Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Six of the eight clay courts under the bubble will be available to the public with a NYC Tennis Permit for open play, just like at all other public tennis courts in City parks. The other two courts will be available for lessons and court time by Sutton East Tennis at market rate. The bubble will continue to be maintained and operated by Sutton East Tennis during this summer season.
NYC Parks Tennis Permits allow for unlimited play at hundreds of courts throughout the NYC public parks. For the first time, permit holders will be able to enjoy the red clay courts at the Queensboro Oval in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.
The cost for an annual NYC Parks Tennis Permit for adults between the ages of 18 and 61 is only $100 for the season with permits for juniors, ages under 18, being only $10 and for seniors, ages over 62, being only $20. In addition, single-play tickets are available for sale by NYC Parks at a cost of only $15 per hour. Permits and single-play tickets must be obtained from NYC Parks in advance.
